Latest SDK: 2.8.1, October 2008
The NVIDIA PhsyX SDK is installed in two parts: the SDK itself, and the System Software. As of July 2008, the GeForce v177.39 driver package and above will automatically contain the newest corresponding version of the NVIDIA PhysX System Software.
Be sure that you have installed the appropriate PhysX System Software before using the SDK.
PhysX SDK Version 2.8.1 - October 2008
- PhysX_2.8.1_SDK_Core.msi
- This is the required core for all installations of the PhysX SDK. Contains headers, libs, dlls, samples, and documentation. Requires installation of the appropriate PhysX System Software as described above.

PhsyX SDK is installed in two parts. In addition to the versioned SDK installation, you will need to install a SystemSoftware release (below) that supports your SDK. Unless there are problems, you should always use the latest version of the SystemSoftware, as it may address issues found in previous versions.

- PhysX Plugin for Max
- The PhysX Plugin for Max provides artist-friendly access to PhysX features for users of Max9, Max2008, and Max2009 when used with PhysX SDKs 2.7.3, 2.8.0, or 2.8.1. The plugin itself is currently at edition 1.0.3.
- PhysX Plugin for Maya
- The PhysX Plugin for Maya provides access to PhysX features for users of Maya2008, when used with PhysX SDKs 2.8.0 and above. The plugin itself is currently at edition 1.0.4.
